Sustainable Materials

By purchasing lumber from Forrest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified suppliers, we ensure that our lumber was harvested using methods that adhere to strict standards for responsible forrest management.  We have a network of local and regional suppliers that provide us with simply stunning local, native hardwoods.  Whenever possible, our sheet-goods such as plywood and mdf, are selected on the basis of recycled content and the absence of formaldehyde and other nasty stuff.

Finishes, Old & New

We offer several finishing options for our eco-friendly furniture pieces.  Depending on the expected use of a piece, we may recommend nothing more than a natural oil finish that enhances the simple beauty of the wood. We also offer a range of modern water-based lacquers that provide durable protection while minimizing exposure to harmful volatile organic compounds (VOC’s)
